Trail access only in Lost River State Park. Chestnut Oak - Red Oak matrix forest is below the cliff, and Scrub Oak tops the ridge, grading into Oak - Hickory as the ridge widens southward.;Dry, west - facing clifftop Pine - Heath woodland. This is a linear band of woodland that follows the cliff outcrop from the top of the ridge at Miller Rock to the southwest along Big Ridge. Minor trampling from hikers who access the scenic cliff from nearby trail. No fire sign within plot. Continuous recruitment of Pine. Probably an edaphic climax. 2 trees were cored a 14cm dbh Pinus pungens (field count 40 yrs) and a 31cm dbh P. pungens (field count 70 dbh).
